Krown Product Blocks ("the App") is developed and maintained by Krown Apps ("we", "us", "our"). This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and handle information when you install and use the App on your Shopify store.
What information we collect
When you install the App, Shopify shares basic store information with us through their standard integration, including your store name, domain, and contact email. This data is synced automatically by Shopify and is required for the App to function.
We do not collect:
- Customer or visitor data from your storefront
- Payment or financial information
- Browsing behavior or analytics
- Personal data beyond what Shopify provides during installation
The App uses a single storefront permission (`unauthenticated_read_product_listings`) to allow theme blocks to display product information. No admin data is accessed or stored.
How we use information
Store information provided by Shopify is used solely to:
- Authenticate your access to the App
- Maintain your App installation
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.
Data storage and security
App data is hosted on Gadget (gadget.app), which provides the infrastructure for Shopify app hosting, authentication, and data storage. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely in Gadget's managed environment.
Data retention and deletion
When you uninstall the App, your store data is automatically removed from our systems. You can request data deletion at any time by contacting us.
GDPR and privacy compliance
We comply with Shopify's mandatory privacy requirements, including handling data access, erasure, and shop redaction requests. The App processes these requests automatically through Shopify's compliance webhooks.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about your store. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Cookies and local storage
The App uses a single `localStorage` key within the Shopify admin to remember whether you dismissed a promotional banner. No cookies are set on your storefront or used for tracking.
